Viancey Gonzalez

Viancey was diagnosed with kienböck’s disease, causing her to need immediate wrist surgery. Kienböck's disease is a condition where the blood supply to one of the small bones in the wrist, the lunate, is interrupted. The lunate is a carpal bone, meaning it’s living tissue that requires a regular supply of blood for nourishment. If the blood supply to a bone stops, the bone or parts of the bone can die.

Dr. Shelby recently survived a life threatening motorcycle accident and as a result, has undergone several surgeries. She is a coral biologist, environmentalist, and marine conservationist who has an intrinsic passion for the restoration of the natural world.
